National Outstanding Hospital Executive

Professor Dr. Prasit Watanapa, M.D., Former Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, received the National Outstanding Hospital Administrator Award 2020 from the Hospital Administrator Association of Thailand.
Mahidol University set resolutuion to be "Wisdom of the Land" since the time when Prof. Dr. Prasit was in Mahidol University administration team between 2007 - 2011 and has always carried on the aspirations. Until he took the position of Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital Mahidol University from 2015 - 2022. He never stops working to be wisdom of the land by expanding Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital to be "World Changer" for the creation of mankind well-being. The result of his outstanding work as a leader in driving the country's health system in the past, Prof. Dr. Prasit has been reconized by Hospital Management Association of Thailand to receive the National Outstanding Hospital Administrator Award 2020 with the cooperation of all "Siriraj people". Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital has proven its potential to be "Academic Hub" and the outstanding center for academic medicine. To make Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital always ready to face challenges to "Changing the world", he transforming Siriraj Hospital into "Smart Hospital", piloting health management with 5G systems and creating medical innovations to enhance the patients quality of life. During the outbreak of the Covid-19, the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital has played an important role in disseminating knowledge to the public as well as applying innovations and medical technologies to ensure readiness to counter this pandemic and other infectious diseases that may occur in the future. the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital develop "unmanned intelligent vehicles" that deliver medicines within the hospital and telemedicine system (Telemedicine) that allows patients to easily access more health services, and the work of "Siriraj Mobile Stroke Unit" to help stroke patients have better chance of disability from paralysis. The innovative mobile computerized tomography vehicle (Mobile CT) that can easily reach distant patients. Which can help emergency symptoms stoke patients by computed tomography of the brain and send results online to a specialist doctor for a timely diagnosis within 3 hours.
