Assistant Professor Dr. Chairat is a person who adheres to MAHIDOL Core values. He works in academic fields such as teaching, academic services, and preserving Thai traditions. He has created personnel with agricultural abilities for business establishments and society throughout this time. His research has solved farmers' problems regarding post-harvest management of crop products and was the first to promote the cultivation of organic "Crystal Ice Plants" as an economic crop in Thailand. His academic service projects at the school level received an award for outstanding sustainability and were used as a model for lots of schools in Thailand. His project also promotes the efficiency of integrated crop production in many areas throughout the country with government agencies and the private sector such as Charoen Pokphand Group, Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives, and Royal Initiative Discovery Foundation (Pid Thong Laung Phra Foundation). He also holds positions as an advisor and expert in many agencies such as the Thai Industrial Hemp Trade Association. Not only in Thailand, but he also provides academic services to other countries in Southeast Asia, where he is often invited by the National Agriculture and Forestry Research Institute (NAFRI) to enhance agricultural education and training programs for farmers and government officials with goals aim to sustainability and improve the quality of life.
