A foremost technocrat, Asst. Prof. Dr. Boonsong Kaigate, has used his voice in various political stages (such as a senator appointed by royal command, vice president of senate parliamentary natural resource and environment committee, president of senate parliamentary environmental subcommittee, spokesman of public health committee and so on) to drive and develop many aspects of environment and health works in Thailand such as the strategically national transformation plans on fine particulate matter (PM2.5), environmental impact assessment (EIA), strategic environmental assessment (SEA), withdrawal of polluted control zone, solid and hazardous waste management, wastewater management, climate change, health system for ageing society project and primary health care service project. Because of his high potential, he has also hold many important academic positions such as a president of council of science and technology professionals, a former president of the Thailand environmental health association.
