Inventor of I-FAST for Stroke Rehabilitation

Ms. Wiyada Saksri is an alumna of batch 3 from the Faculty of Physical Therapy, at Mahidol University. She was determined to be a neurological physical therapist to apply her knowledge to treating diseases and conditions of neurological patients until now. She started working as physical therapist and lecturer in Thailand before shifting to working abroad in the U.S.A. She has researched techniques for treating patients with hemiplegia and become a professional in various treatment courses such as stroke rehabilitation, geriatrics, orthopedics, sports therapy, athletic training, etc. She has a lot of expertise in treating neurological patients such as hemiplegia and hemiparesis including patients with various conditions such as total knee and/or hip replacement and geriatrics. She is the founder of “Integrated Functional Applied Science Technic (I-FAST)” for stroke rehabilitation. She also works as the author and co-author of “Handbook of Physical Therapy for Stroke Rehabilitation”, "Back pain self-treatment", and many other works. Today, she is still determined to transfer her experience and knowledge about “treatment techniques for patients with hemiplegia” to other physical therapists to improve their physical therapy techniques as well as patients’ quality of life.
