Emeritus Professor Somsak Chuckpaiwong continuously support the research and academic development of the Faculty of Dentistry, Mahidol University since 1989. In addition, he help the faculty expand both pregraduate and postgraduate comprehensive dentistry programs and established the first Comprehensive Dentistry Department in Thailand.
He also initiate the creation of the Electronic Library and Computer Network for human development as well as dedicated to supporting the faculty's research activities. He received royal grace to work as chairman of Royal Highness Princess Mahachakri Sirinthorn Project on Dentistry.
