Pharm. Chanakit Imbumrung has the responsibility of the community-based healthcare provider to assist the vulnerable group in the community. To seek the route of illness, health promotion, and social economics. She is the key person in the community to promote the quality of life of patients with empathy same as Mahidol University's motto: Attānaṁ upamaṁ kare “To put yourself in someone else’s shoes”.
Pharm. Chanakit set up the PHONPRASIT Fund in 2017 aimed to support the vulnerable group such as low-income patients in her community by sharing unused medicine from donors with other patients in need. She also works to drive more patient access to healthcare by supporting transportation fees, necessary medical equipment, or medications.
In 2019 The Pharmaceutical Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage gave “The Outstanding Community Pharmacist” honor award to Pharm. Chanakit for her continuing support and health promotion for the people in her community for many years.
