Dr.Nattaporn does research and develops biodegradable materials for replacing petroleum-based plastics as a key solution to solve the environmental problem. She uses agricultural raw materials from major economic crops in Thailand such as cassava and sugarcane as well as agricultural and agro-industrial wastes such as palm oil empty fruit bunch and rice straws to enhance biodegradable packaging applications. Moreover, she uses these materials as the main compositions for environmentally friendly materials. She uses the knowledge gained from her research to present at various international conferences as well as published in international journals and also her article titled "Effect of citric acid on properties of cassava starch and biodegradable packaging foam" won the Best Presentation Awards from ASEAN Bioenergy and Bioeconomy Conference 2020: Sustainable Bioresources for Green Energy and Economy.
