Author of the First Thai Kinesiology Textbook

As the first batch of physical therapy (PT) students in Thailand, Associate Professor Karnda Chaipackdee was a co-founder and the first chairman of the Physiotherapy Club established on January 1, 1970. Then the club became the Physical Therapy Association of Thailand. As a lecturer, she dedicated her effort and money to nurturing students to become physical therapists with good morals and using the physical therapy curriculum of Mahidol University as the foundation for developing physical therapy curriculums in other universities afterward. She also wrote academic articles, research reports, and the first textbook in Thai entitled “Kinesiology Book”. As a government official, she performed duties with high responsibility, committed to virtue, goodness, dedication, perseverance, and consistently being a good role model to her students. As an executive of the School of Physiotherapy, she participated in developing the first master's and Ph.D. programs in physical therapy in Thailand. She also participated in establishing the Faculty of Physical Therapy and Applied Movement Science at Mahidol University and took the position of Faculty Dean. Moreover, she was the founder of the “Faculty of Physical Therapy Mahidol University Alumni Association” and “Foundation for Faculty of Physical Therapy, Mahidol University”.
