Assoc. Prof. Dr.Piyanee (Klayin) Yobas graduated from the Faculty of Nursing with Bachelor of Nursing Science in 1990. She currently works at Alice Lee Center for Nursing Studies Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She is a researcher in nursing who is interested in researching stress, factors related to stress, the health of healthy individuals and those with mental illnesses, and psychosocial interventions in people with mental disorders and medical conditions. She has developed a great deal of research on mental health conditions. Her research was funded by many organizations, such as NUHS Bridging funds and the National Research Council of Thailand. A total of 143 papers were compiled on the Google Scholar website with 4,880 overall citations, an h-index of 37 and an i10-index of 68. In December 2022, Assoc. Prof. Dr Piyanee (Klayin) Yobas was named in the world's top 2% of highly referenced researchers.
In addition, she has promoted the mental health of the people by publishing the knowledge online of teaching how to use conscious breathing to deal with stress in the online channel program called “Mindfulness Practice with Dr. Piyanee” According to her knowledge and ability in mental health nursing and world-renowned psychiatric nursing, she has been invited by the World Health Organization as an expert to advise on the development of guidelines for mental health.
