Sanjeev Kumar Karn, currently serving as the Joint Secretary and Chief of the Planning and Development Cooperation Coordination Division at Nepal's Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development (MoALD), is a distinguished expert with over two decades of experience in food quality, safety, and nutrition. In his current role, he formulates and coordinates federal annual programs and budgets, develops workforce capacities, and ensures policy provisions for agricultural development. He is also responsible for overseeing program amendments, fund reallocation, and integrating gender and social inclusion principles, while maintaining robust inter-agency, inter-ministry, and international coordination. Previously, he served as the Director General of the Department of Food Technology and Quality Control, where he was instrumental in upholding food safety standards across Nepal.
