Clean Energy for the future of remote communities
Clean Energy for the future of remote communities:
K. Tanai is interested in energy and the environment. He realized that environmental problems would become one of the biggest challenges for generations to come so he decided to take an Environmental Science degree from MUIC. He works as SEA Business Development Manager for Enapter S.R.L. His role is to take care of business development activities in Southeast Asia with a key showcase of hydrogen energy projects in the Phi Suea House project at Chiang Mai and EGAT Learning Center. On top of that, he has a side hobby as a founder of the ReCharge project to develop energy projects that have a positive social impact on remote communities. All ReCharge projects use solar energy to electrify off-grid islands in Koh Jik at Chantaburi, Koh Bulon Don and Koh Bulon Le at Satun, and Koh Mak Noi at Phang Nga. ReCharge's approach to developing projects is to craft tailor-made energy solutions that fit the needs of remote communities while empowering them as project owners. In 2022 and 2023 his projects won renewable energy project awards from the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency, Ministry of Energy. Also, they won the ASEAN Best Practices for Renewable Energy Project Awards from the ASEAN Energy Awards 2022 and 2023 contests.
