Dr. Supatchaya has initiated the practical use of resources cost-effectively and efficiently, making significant contributions to sustainability and societal development through her innovative and impactful work. As a Senior Environmental Manager at the Mae Fah Luang Foundation, she has played a key role in the carbon credit management project in forests for sustainable development, using the carbon credit system to strengthen communities, improve quality of life, and promote biodiversity conservation. She is also a co-founder of Refill Station, introducing the Circular Economy concept by creating the first refill store in Thailand aimed at reducing single-use plastics and inspiring an eco-friendly lifestyle by allowing consumers to bring their containers to purchase and refill products like shampoo, dishwashing liquid, and other items. She exemplifies the teaching of 'putting personal benefits second and the benefits of fellow humans first' by leading and using her abilities to combine community-driven solutions with global environmental goals, resulting in nationally and internationally recognized projects.
“Mahidol University is not just an academic institution that provides knowledge, but it is also a nurturing ground for dedication, determination, and selflessness for the benefit of others. Every lesson learned from Mahidol is not just in textbooks but also teaches us to view the world from a broader perspective and understand the importance of working for science and society. The essence of Mahidol does not end with graduation, as the support, advice, and backing from the university continue. I am proud to be a tree that has grown from Mahidol's grounds and is ready to benefit others as per the teachings of His Royal Highness.” Proud to be Mahidol Alumni by Dr. Supatchaya Techachoochert
