Thai Industrial Safety & Hygiene System Dev. :
K.Buppha applied her knowledge from Mahidol University to develop a comprehensive understanding that blends both science and art in planning for accident prevention, environmental impact mitigation, and hygiene surveillance for entrepreneurs, factory workers, and surrounding communities. She developed the Process Safety Management (PSM) system by adapting standards from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) of the United States. This initiative was driven by a working group from multiple agencies and led to the creation of the “Regulation of the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand on Criteria, Methods, and Conditions for Operating in Industrial Estates (No. 4), B.E. 2559 (2016)”, which was approved by all sectors. Once implemented and adopted by entrepreneurs, the regulation significantly reduced the severity of accidents in industrial estates. Additionally, she coordinated the planning and management of a vaccination center in Amata City, Chonburi Industrial Estate, which served up to 200,000 factory workers, ensuring there were no severe impacts or fatalities from COVID-19 in the area.

He emphasized disease prevention due to the high cost of treatment, and thus prioritized public health as a foundation for industrial development.
