Pioneering in automotive energy education :
Sommart has served as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Bangkok Thonburi University since 33 years old. With a strong commitment to developing educational institutions in all dimensions towards new changes, he has implemented innovative thinking and actions based on potential, resources, and readiness. He has applied his knowledge and experience in Mechanical Engineering to improve curricula and add modern infrastructure from real industry applications to teaching, producing graduates with skills that meet industry needs. He has created new programs to meet Thailand's engineering demands, including launching a new engineering program in automotive energy. He signed a memorandum of cooperation for promoting educational exchanges with Shandong Province, People's Republic of China, and established the Luban-Mozi College (BYD), Thailand at Bangkok Thonburi University. Furthermore, he has fostered cross-disciplinary and cross-organizational collaboration, partnering with leading organizations both domestically and internationally in education and research, and creating networks that help generate knowledge and innovations beneficial to society.
