A pioneer in Nutritional Databases Lab Standard:
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kunchit Judprasong has made significant contributions both in Thailand and internationally. His notable achievements include: 1) He created an online food composition database that is valuable for research, education, the food industry, agriculture, public health, and serves as the ASEANFOODS network center in the ASEAN region. 2) He enhanced food testing laboratories and nutrition labeling in accordance with international standards. 3) He is an internationally recognized expert in laboratory quality control, providing training on ISO/IEC 17025, 17043, 13528, and 17034, raising the standards of Thai laboratories 4) Utilizing nuclear technology to develop analytical methods for studying body composition, nutrient absorption, food adulteration, food origin, and energy expenditure. 5) He developed inulin and fructooligosaccharides testing methods, studied their levels in Thai foods, studied sun-choke, investigated their nutritional value and safety, examined their health effects, and disseminated knowledge to the public.
