A balancer between urban life and big trees

A balancer between urban life and big trees :
K.Chanatda has been interested in the environment since childhood, leading her to pursue a Bachelor of Science (Conservation Biology) at Mahidol University Kanchanaburi Campus. She then embarked on her career path as an arborist, earning certification from the Thai Arboriculture Association (TAA) and gaining over ten years of experience. She has contributed to the recognition and standardization of the arborist profession by developing professional standards, serving on the committee for certification examinations at the Thai Arboriculture Association, and working on the development of competency assessment tools in tree management. Additionally, she has been an examiner for Level 4 arborist certification at the Professional Qualification Institute. She has shared her arboricultural knowledge through lectures and practical training for government agencies, private organizations, and the general public. Her efforts have raised awareness and understanding of proper tree care, leading to policy changes in urban tree management and a positive shift in public perception of urban trees. This has driven improvements in standards and safety for green space management, contributing to developing a systematic and standardized approach to urban tree care in Thailand. These efforts enhance green spaces and create a sustainable urban environment, improving the quality of life for city dwellers and ensuring appropriate tree care for continued ecosystem services.
