Professor Apichat Asavamongkolkul, M.D., assumed the deanship of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, on October 1, 2022. His distinguished career at the institution spans multiple leadership roles, including Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Physical Therapy from 2019 to 2022. He also served two separate terms as Deputy Dean for Administration—first under Clinical Professor Emeritus Teerawat Kulthanan, M.D. (2007–2011), and later during the tenure of Professor Prasit Watanapa, M.D., Ph.D. (2015–2019). His leadership approach emphasizes three core principles: exemplary governance, proactive risk management, and robust business continuity planning. He champions collaboration both within Mahidol University and through strategic partnerships with public and private organizations.
