Demographer Advancing a Sustainable Aging Society :
Associate Professor Dr. Sutthida has applied her expertise in population aging to research and tangible social advancement over the past decade. Her work focuses on older adults and centenarians, using empirical evidence to enhance quality of life and to design social innovations for communities. Beyond generating new knowledge, she has also produced work that strengthens the capacity of local government personnel to use population data in preparing for an active and empowered aging society. This initiative was selected as an outstanding project of 2024 by the Institute for Population and Social Research, serving as significant evidence of social impact and national-level benefits. The outcomes contribute to policy development, community empowerment, and the enhancement of the country’s academic reputation on the international stage. In recognition of her dedication and impact, she received the MU’s Teaching Excellence Award 2025.
