Tropical Disease & Health Sustainability Lead:
Prof. Emeritus Dr. Sasithorn has served her profession with integrity and ethics for over three decades. She currently holds the position of Royal Scholar and Head of the Clinical Therapeutics Research Unit at the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University. She has continuously worked in academic services with excellent interpersonal skills, mentoring new researchers in tropical diseases and medical sciences. Her outstanding professional achievements and dedication to academic services have earned her recognition both domestically and internationally. She was awarded the Dushdi Mala Medal in Medical Science in 2019. Her world-class research includes significant contributions to the treatment, control, and eradication of malaria and COVID-19. Her application of medical knowledge has been widely recognized, and she was ranked among the top 2% of scientists globally and the best medical scientist in 2022, ranking 16,453rd in the world and 9th in Thailand. She is a successful alumnus who has made significant contributions to society and the nation, bringing honor and reputation to Mahidol University.
