K. Thananchai has been a leader in initiating a capacity-building project for climate change participation under the Paris Agreement in Phutsa Subdistrict, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. This project applied environmental sanitation principles to transform harmful chemical-based agricultural practices into safe farming methods. The resulting agricultural products were supplied to schools under the Safe Food Program. The initiative also reduced waste at the source by converting it into organic fertilizer and expanded green spaces in public areas to reduce carbon emissions. These efforts led his organization to receive the Prime Minister’s Award for Participatory Public Administration in 2019. In addition, K. Thananchai was awarded a Royal Insignia by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn in his role as Vice President of the Organic Agriculture Confederation Foundation under Royal Patronage. This honor was bestowed during the royal opening of the Sufficiency Economy Model Learning Center in Ban Pua, Faikwang Subdistrict, Chiang Kham District, Phayao Province in 2024.
