Health insurance reactivation policy innovator

Health insurance reactivation policy innovator:
K.Trisnasari is a Primary Benefit Assurance Policy Officer at BPJS Kesehatan, with over seven years of professional experience. Her work focuses on expanding access to health services, particularly for informal sector participants of the National Health Insurance (NHI) who are often excluded due to unpaid contributions. Her research on compliance among this group was published in a Q2-ranked international journal and has become an important reference. Based on this work, she was invited by USAID to discuss strategic approaches to resolving contribution arrears. K. Trisnasari was also honored as a panelist at PMAC 2025, where she spoke on leveraging innovative technologies to strengthen health financing for UHC, alongside the World Health Organization (WHO), which had previously reviewed her paper on mobile JKN. Beyond academic and policy engagement, she works directly with communities to raise awareness about NHI benefits and assists individuals in reactivating their coverage when in arrears, ensuring that vulnerable populations can regain access to essential health services. By combining policy expertise with hands-on community impact, she exemplifies how strong policies must be grounded in real outcomes and empower communities.

“Being able to continue my studies at Mahidol University, which is the best university in Thailand and among the best in the world, was an honor. Mahidol University was founded legacy by Prince Mahidol, Thailand's Father of Modern Medicine and Public Health. It is renowned for its cutting-edge research and top-notch academic programs, especially in the field of science and health. Taking part at Mahidol let me realize the value of applying knowledge for human well-being and motivated me to develop my knowledge and character under the guidance of knowledgeable professors. It is equally important to learn from the local community and the Thai healthcare system, which is preserving the humble, friendly, and selfless Thai culture. With all those amazing things, I am proud to be Mahidol.” Proud to be Mahidol Alumni by K. Trisnasari.
