Dr. Paweena has extended her work in Biomedical Engineering (Medical Device Regulations) beyond research and development of medical devices to include clinical research. She emphasizes the importance of Mahidol University’s potential resources, which consist of various units that can promote the commercialization of research products globally and meet standards. She attracts both Thai and international investors to use Mahidol University's research services or testing systems, such as clinical research or medical device efficacy testing. This collaboration aims to achieve internationally accepted testing standards. Her work has inspired Thai start-up companies to see a broader picture of product development through knowledge-sharing lectures. She has helped some companies register their medical device products with the US FDA 510(k). She has also promoted clinical research in Thailand, supported clinical research publications in international journals, and provided special lectures to FDA staff on understanding software and AI/ML document reviews. Additionally, she has given special lectures to entrepreneurs participating in the MED Drive project on the basic principles of US FDA 510(k) standards.
