Advocate for Health and Social Diversity Policies:
Upon graduating with a Master of Arts in Population and Social Research (Thai Program) from the Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University (Academic Year 2001) K.Srisuman has been working in health project management. Such as, in 2006, she was one of the initiators of promoting HIV/AIDS prevention in Thai society by using condoms. She emphasized that HIV prevention could be done without stigmatizing those who buy condoms, especially young people. She was responsible for fundraising, contacting businesses, and coordinating with prominent figures in Thai society to campaign for condom use as a tool for health care and HIV/AIDS prevention, as well as pregnancy prevention. From 2009 to 2012, she managed the Youth Advisory Panel project of UNFPA, aimed at developing youth capacities to provide opinions on reproductive health, acting as a representative and voice in governmental, civil society, and international forums. With over 30 years of experience, she has successfully managed complex health projects and built effective strategic partnerships. She possesses leadership and expertise in project management, building relationships with funders, policy advocacy, and capacity building. Her work covers various health issues including HIV, tuberculosis, malaria, reproductive health, and non-communicable diseases. She has integrated national health efforts with regional and global health initiatives. She also has worked on issues such as human rights, women's empowerment, children's rights, and community capacity building. K.Srisuman has collaborated with key stakeholders such as USAID, UNAIDS, WHO, and private sector partners to drive sustainable health solutions in Southeast Asia. Her expertise includes designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation systems, ensuring data quality, and supporting evidence-based decision-making. Currently, K.Srisuman serves as the representative of the EpiC Thailand project (FHI 360) in the service innovation project to promote sexual and mental health for women, young women, and LGBTQ+ youth. This project is supported by the Thai Health Promotion Foundation, which has also been supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). It integrates sexual health promotion among adolescents and pilots community-led sexual and mental health services in Bangkok.
