Clinical Prof.Emeritus Piyasakol is a visionary leader with extensive knowledge in education, medicine, and organizational management. He served as the former Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, former President of Mahidol University, and former Minister of Public Health (2015-2019). His contributions to society include the "Green Campus" project, which earned Mahidol University the 86th position globally and 1st in Thailand in the 2017 UI GreenMetric World University Ranking. Additionally, he modernized the university's management by fostering Branding and Core Values, promoting unity, and driving various faculties toward the vision of "Wisdom of the Land." Furthermore, He played a crucial role in advancing Thailand's Universal Health Coverage system, fostering trust between the public and private sectors, which enhanced public acceptance of healthcare services, reduced administrative costs, and improved the efficiency and equity of health services.
